Coming home after the funeral was such a blur. So overwhelming, so much happened in such a short time. My heart was truly thankful that I was able to travel, however, my heart was also so hurt and grieving for my mama, and I was missing my husband and my three boys.
I hardly remember coming home. I do remember I was going to see the doctors for follow up on that Wednesday April 30th so I was excited for that. I remember going in to the plastic surgeon first and he took out the rest of my drainage tubes and it was like the best day EVER!!! Showers were going to be so much easier!
Then we went to see the other surgeon and she told me that they found cancer in three areas. They ended up finding two tumors in my breast and one was very aggressive and the one in my lymph nodes. They had taken out all 31 lymph nodes and only the one had cancer. Praise God for that!
Next step – meet with the oncologist. The Dr didn’t think that I would need radiation, but she would send my info off and if they needed to see me, they would contact me. I had a good feeling I wouldn’t be hearing from them. So now, it was just finding out if I had to do chemotherapy or not. All I could do now is stay in prayer, and let God know that no matter what happened that I knew He was with me and he would not let me go through this storm alone. That as long as I kept praising Him through everything, that I could get through anything.
